The title of the much abuzz movie of Yash Raj Films' featuring ‘Break Ke Baad' star Imran Khan and ‘Tees Maar Khan' beauty Katrina Kaif has been finally decided as ‘Mere Brother Ki Dulhan'. Ali Abbas Zafar has written the story and is also directing this movie, which will be produced by Aditya Chopra.
The shooting has started in Pataudi and the movie is scheduled to release in the middle of 2011. The plot of Mere Brother Ki Dulhan is based around upper middle class families in North India. It is a multi-genre movie and is musical-romantic-comedy.
A topsy-turvy story which takes you on a fun-filled ride of humour and romance, where Imran falls in love with his brother's dulhan! Ali Abbas Zafar has been working with the Yash Raj Banner for many years now and has assisted on films such as Badmaash Company, Tashan, New York and Jhoom Barabar Jhoom. Ali Zafar has earlier directed the comedy movie ‘Tere Bin Laden'.
Imran is working for the first time with the YRF as well as Katrina. Recently, while shooting for the movie, Imran accidentally hurt his co-star Katrina Kaif's nose. The score and songs of the film are composed by relative newcomer Sohail Sen, best known for being the man behind the music of ‘What's Your Rashee?'
"All I can say about my role is that this girl is quite a number. The closest I came to playing something so challenging was in ‘Namastey London' and that was a cakewalk compared to this. The girl in Ali's film is... something else! I have to go completely outside myself to play her. Whom am I observing to play the role? I am not telling," said a mischievous Katrina.
